In the dead of the night

I recall

How my face used to light

When you would call

I always had my fears

That our future together wasn’t bright

That you’ll make me shed tears

And I was right

I thought I was Rachel and you Ross

I wanted just to be with you

For you, I used to apply lip-gloss

I thought you loved me too

For you it was a game

It was about the number

Have you no shame?

Don’t you know- you’re playing with thunder

In your arms

I felt warm

Like I was away from all harms

In me you were brewing a thunderstorm

Little did I know

That you were a mistake

That you would stoop so low

For you I cried a lake

Left me alone in my lane

I didn’t have to conform

For I was waiting for a train

At the wrong platform

From a daydream to a nightmare

You made fake promises and lied

Now you’re in my lair

So you better run and hide

From me you will gain

A lesson you’ll never forget

You’ll never hurt anyone again

On that I can bet

Having alcohol to quieten your liver

Your heart will ache

Having made sure

That you’ll never cheat again

From my heart your memories, I tore

The tide was high and there was rain

I am back again in my usual form

Completely over you

Again it’s sunny and warm

And love has reappeared too!
